We are the biggest Non-Profit Open-Source Project Funding Operation in Germany
Our story
We are the Open Project Contribution Foundation, a Germany-based non-profit organization dedicated to funding, supporting, and sustaining open-source projects with high potential for long-term impact. Founded in Germany, we operate on projects worldwide, working with developers, maintainers, and communities across borders.
We focus on small, early-stage open-source initiatives that often lack the resources to grow despite their potential to create significant technological, scientific, or social value. By providing financial support, shared infrastructure, and organizational guidance, we help these projects become sustainable and widely adopted.
As the biggest non-profit open-source project funding operation in Germany, we act as a trusted bridge between contributors, donors, and the global open-source ecosystem. Our work is driven by transparency, community involvement, and the belief that open collaboration is essential to building resilient and accessible technology for everyone.
